Question by Chesney: Has anyone tried Clinique’s Acne Solutions Post Blemish ?
I have red marks on my chin from acne and I’m VERY tired of them. I ordered this product already and I can’t seem to find any reviews on it. Also if you know of a product that works better, please let me know!!

I love this product. It works but takes time a awhile for it to work. The only bad thing is it comes in such a small pen that it runs out really fast. I got tired of having to buy one every month so I switch to Bio Oil. I bought Bio Oil at Walgreens or you can purchase it online.

Consider Natural Acne Treatment For Blemish Free Skin

There are many acne treatments available and finding the best acne treatment for your condition can be a very difficult. You may have tried one or two over-the-counter acne treatment products touted as miracle cures for acne and saw no results, and decided that those products and all other products of the same ilk are no good.

If over-the-counter acne medications have not worked for your acne, you might want to consider giving natural acne treatments a try. Many acne sufferers have turned away from

acne medications due to concerns over possible side effects of using chemicals on their skin and are discovering effective natural alternatives to preventing and getting rid of acne.

Many pharmaceutical companies and natural remedies companies are meeting the meets of these people by providing acne products that are formulated using natural ingredients. However, it is important to keep in mind that just because something is natural does not automatically means that it is 100% safe.

In addition, commercially marketed natural acne treatments also tend to be expensive. However, there are natural acne treatments that do not involve spending money buying specific products to treat your acne.

Here is a look at a few of the simple and effective ways that you can go about preventing acne breakouts and getting rid of acne when breakouts occur.

Diet: While specific foods have not been linked to acne breakouts, your day-to-day diet has an impact on your mental attitude, your energy level, your health and even your skin’s appearance. Fruit and vegetables will help strengthen your immune system and make your skin clear up, while processed and junk foods contain ingredients that often make acne worse. A good way to prevent acne breakouts is to include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Eliminate as much processed and junk foods from your diet as possible.

Vitamins: If you have a healthy, balanced diet, you should be meeting your recommended minimum daily allowance of essential vitamins. If you think you are not getting enough vitamins every day, consult with your doctor about taking a good multivitamin. Your doctor may recommend taking pantothenic acid, vitamin E and vitamin A supplements, which will help maintain healthy skin and reduce the risk of acne scars.

Water: One of the most recommended natural acne treatments is probably water. You may have heard that you should drink at least eight glasses of water a day to maintain your good health. This is also true when it comes to preventing acne. Water helps the body purify itself of toxin that can lead to acne breakouts. One way to check to see if you are drinking enough water is to look at your urine. If your urine is yellow, then you know you are not drinking enough water. This simple act of drinking water, which you do everyday any way, can do much to prevent acne and improve the appearance of your skin.

One shortcoming of treating your acne the natural way is that cleaning up your acne takes longer than if you were to use chemical acne treatments. However, in the long term, the natural treatments not only minimize your acne flare ups but also improve your overall health. Natural acne treatments also limit the risk of any side effects associated with pharmaceutical acne medications.

Neutrogena Advances Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel, Lemon juice, Mederma, and Bio Oil are all good solutions for acne scarring. Things you could ask your dermatologist about are Tretinoin (Retin A) and Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid) will help too. One product with Alpha Hydroxy Acid that I know of is Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel and Milk. You can put milk on a cotton ball and apply to your face and then rinse after it absorbs.

acne question

There many people searching for ways to get rid of their zits in the shortest amount of time possible. Furthermore, there are unscrupulous people out there on the internet claiming they have an overnight cure for acne….should you believe them?

Now, do you really think I could tell you how to get rid of a zit in 2 days or less? Seriously, I would be a millionaire if I could come up with the miracle product or cure for eliminating those nasty little zits overnight.

There are numerous things over the years that I have personally tried which has helped get rid of my pimples in the shortest amount of time possible.  It’s one thing if you breakout with the occasional blemish and it’s quite another if you have chronic acne.

For those that get the occasional blemish here are some things you can do to help heal pimples in the shortest amount of time possible.

  1. Do not pick at or squeeze your pimple. It will cause the bacteria to spread and take it much longer to heal.
  2. Use an antibiotic type of ointment that will reduce inflammation. This can be as natural as tea tree oil or something over the counter such as Clearasil. You only need to use this as a spot treatment.
  3. You can also use a toner that is part apple cider vinegar to help eliminate the bacteria, reduce redness and also reduce inflammation.
  4. Females – Try to avoid wearing make-up. If that’s impossible, use a cover-up containing salicylic acid as this will help conceal the pimple while it helps heal it. I suggest Almay’s clear complexion. It’s inexpensive and it blends well.
  5. Continue to wash your face with a gentle cleanser twice a day.

The goal here is not to do these things in hopes that you will completely eliminate your zits overnight…that’s a little unrealistic.  The goal is to make your pimple less noticeable while it heals. It’s a lot worse to have your pimple stick out like a bulls-eye on your face and take a week to heal or worse be left with a scar.  The biggest thing is to resist the urge to squeeze your pimple.  Doing that alone will help significantly.

Bottom line,  your blemish might not disappear overnight, but you should see significant improvements in a day or so.

For those of you with frequent and chronic breakouts you need to look at your diet, lifestyle, the type of make-up your wearing and facial wash you’re using and try to get down to the root cause of your acne. If you haven’t already done so you can download the “Ultimate Acne Guide” on this site. It’s free and full of important information that you need to know with regards to understanding acne and how you can better treat it.

Unfortunately, there is not a one cure-all acne solution that is right for everyone. There are some products that are better for you at treating acne than others. But first you will need to understand why you’re getting acne in the first place in order to get it under control.
