I’m giving up on “natural” acne solutions. What is the most effective, most natural OTC product available?
Question by MayFlay: I’m giving up on “natural” acne solutions. What is the most effective, most natural OTC product available?
The cause of my acne isn’t my diet. I’m super healthy (vegetarian style, often almost vegan) with not much artificial crap being consumed.
Over the past year I’ve been pretty loyal to trying to cure my acne earth mama style. I’ve tried Lush Cosmetics, garlic, tea tree oil, Castile soap, and I don’t remember what else.
Well… it hasn’t been working.
So after a year of natural experiments I’m turning back to the big bad pharmaceutical world.
My question:
What is the most effective product out there that does not have loads of disgusting artificial color, “fragrance” that could be hundreds of different things, and other stuff like that…
P.S.- I have been on dermatologist medication before, and it gave me beautiful skin… temporarily. If I can’t find an over the counter product, I suppose I’ll reluctantly go with the dermatologist plan again.

What you want does not exist. If only it did. Pimples are so unfair; coming when you are young. It is never your diet. If you take Accutane the results are amazing but the side effects on the bottle are very bad. You want to avoid it unless your skin is being ravaged.
That leaves you with soap and water and not much of that. Don’t wash 10 times a day. This will all go away as you age.I know that is not much consolation.

Well I’m sorry to disappoint you but my skin is very clear and I use Clinique skincare products. You should give it a try. But the best way to find a good skin care product is trial and error.
Oh yeah … There are some skincare products that are natural and organic. Alba Skin Care Products. http://albabotanica.com/index.php?title=Skin+Care
And there’s another one that you can find in a drugstore called Yes to Carrots, which is natural and organic. Burt’s Bee’s is also natural and organic.
I’ve seen many questions on acne before, but this is a different one from all the others. I agree with the first answerer; what you’re looking for is only in your dreams.
But, I’ll try to help you by listing some of the best brands and products for your case of acne:
1st: Neutrogena: #1 dermatologist recommended
2nd: Skin Medica: I use it for my acne
3rd: Glytone
4th: Clean+Clear
And, not to burst anybody’s bubble, but I’m almost positive that PROACTIVE does NOT help very much! It causes the skin to itch and be flaky, and who really wants that?
Hope I helped!
Love,
Missa
Sensiclear!
I just started on this product a couple of weeks ago. I had acne on my chin line and on my neck. Alot! Sensiclear has it all cleared up. I have tried Murad, Aveda products, Clean&Clear and even Proactive. I LOVE SENICLEAR!!
It does not have that nasty sulfur smell like the others do either. You can go on their webiste and get a trial pack but I just got it off ebay for cheaper. It is not expensive like accutaine and others and best of all IT WORKS!!!!
