/> Lately I’ve been getting a lot of pimples, but all the acne treatments out there seem to contain nasty chemicals or are tested on animals. Can anyone reccomend some all natural acne treatments that will actually work? I’m really sick of these zits.

Best answer:

Answer by Anne
Now all the answers that I looked at didn’t quite answer what I perceived to be what you were asking, so I’m going to try my best to give you what you need. What I do is completely easy, and there is no weird chemicals, creams, or gels.

I drink Salada (that’s the brand name) Green tea with red antioxidants. The color of the antioxidants don’t mean anything, except the flavor is different. It clears up your acne rather quickly (for me they all shrunk after one day and was gone the next). I drink it with two to three Splendas (sugar makes it taste really watery and bland).

One glass or two glasses a night is what does the trick for me. It’s all natural- so I hope it is what it you were looking for.

Just to go to your other answerer’s answer, there is always, ALWAYS some success story. So yeah.

What do you think? This salicylic acid-packed concealer not only covers but it also heals & clears the troubled spots.

One of the concerns that many people bring up about acne is how to cover it up. Most commercial brands offer concealers and foundations that cover up the unsightly marks, but leave your pores clogged. These types of cosmetics are called comedogenic and are more often than not oil-based. Oil-based cosmetics and acne does not work well together.

The starter kit contains three perfect solutions to answer your acne concerns. The first solution is a cleansing foam. This first step is to help your skin and pores to be washed of all the dirt and oil it has accumulated over the day. The second step is an exfoliant that comes in a lotion form. Exfoliation is an essential step to help clear dead skin and allow new skin to breathe. The last step is using a moisturizer, necessary to keep your skin’s essential oils and to prevent from drying.

The Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin System offers its consumers a head way to a clearer skin. Acne affected skin need not worry of its condition with this product. With the starter kit, you can test for yourself if you have any untoward reactions to the product or if the product does not work for you. But this hardly happens as Clinique Acne treatments are designed to be hypoallergenic and work effectively on clearing acne infested skin.

To read more about how to get rid of acne please read my blogs at:

<br

It can also reduce inflammation, one of the causes of pimples, if it contains the right ingredients. For an at home acne treatment manuka honey, tea tree oil, allantoin, and clay are some of the preferred facial products for acne.

Active Manuka Honey

You will find honey in a variety of skincare products. It has long been praised for its medicinal benefits. But, modern research has shown that most varieties have little medicinal activity.

If they do work against bacteria, it is because of their low water content, which creates an inhospitable environment for bacteria to grow. Basically, the honey smothers it. Overgrowth of the P. acnes bacteria is one of the reasons that we get pimples, cysts and blemishes.

Active manuka honey, on the other hand, has been evaluated for its natural antibacterial activity and has proven beneficial for even some of the hardest to treat infections. In addition, it has antioxidant activity, which is good for the skin’s health overall.

Manuka honey is found only in New Zealand, but it is being dehydrated and used in skincare products around the world. Look for the “unique manuka factor” to ensure that you are about to purchase an active brand.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is similar to manuka honey, in that it has natural antibacterial, antioxidant and antiseptic activity. Some studies indicate that it soothes inflammation, as well. Inflammation plays a big role in the formation of acne blemishes.

Irritation of the sebaceous glands, within the skin’s pores causes them to swell or become inflamed. This causes oils to back up and clog the pores, along with dead skin cells. Combine that with the P. acnes bacteria, which is present on everyone’s skin to one degree or another, and you have a recipe for a pimple.

Allantoin

Allantoin is another natural product that has been used for thousands of years to reduce inflammation, although the compound was only identified in recent years. It is found in plants such as comfrey root, which is a traditional remedy for acne blemishes.

Clay

Clay masks are popular beauty treatments and can work to reduce acne breakouts. Some kinds of clay are more beneficial than others. It is also possible for manufacturers to include the active clay extracts.

Combining the extracts with natural plant based oils, rather than using clay alone, reduces the risk that the clay will dry out and clog the pores. Bentone gel is one of the clay extracts that you may see in acne facial masks.

A Word of Advice

Remember to use gentle, natural cleansers on a daily basis and try to find ones that contain sulfur. Sulfur has been used since ancient times to treat acne outbreaks.

Some sources suggest exfoliation, but exfoliating and scrubbing can cause irritation. Irritation can lead to inflammation. As long as the mask that you choose contains mild and natural ingredients, you can use it two or three times per month to complement your daily cleansing ritual.

Maria’s passion is to share knowledge with others on the same <a

I’m 19 years old and I’m planning to go through microdermabrasion. Will I see results with 5 sessions? or will it take 10 sessions though? I have mild acne and acne scarring, oil skin and red spots due to acne.

The following are 5 alternative acne solutions. However, it is best that you consult your dermatologist before choosing to perform self-treatment on your acne.

1. Clean your face with a mild cleanser together with lukewarm water

Do not be deceived or swayed by advertisements of certain manufacturers that promote their products to be effective in combating acne. While these may provide short-term relief from acne, constant use may lead to dry skin, which makes it prone to pimples growth. You should choose a mild cleanser that has a gentle effect on your facial skin. Although these products are never advertised to be acne solutions, some cleansers turn out to be effective acne remedies.

2. Observing a strict diet accompanied by food supplements

Recent studies have indicated that eating too much sugar and carbohydrates increases the level of insulin in your body. This is turn creates excessive oil, which when mixed with dead cells trigger the appearance of acne on your face. Try to limit your carbohydrate as well as sugar intake so as not to increase your insulin content. Taking a multivitamin capsule or tablet regularly is recommended to supplement whatever deficiency you might experience with your current diet.

3. Use oral contraceptives or birth control if approved by your doctor

Androgens are the hormones responsible for the production of oil in your glands, which consequently produces pimple. It has been discovered that birth control pills have the ability to reduce the presence of androgens in your system, hence reducing the possibility of developing pimples. The intake of oral contraceptives is one of the more popular choices for treating acne. Despite its popularity, it is strongly advised by the medical practitioners that you consult with your dermatologist when considering taking birth control pills as your acne solution.

4. Laser as your acne solution

Facing the world with an acne condition is a difficult position to be and this can be further intensified when the scars are left behind for everyone to see. Fortunately, there is an available laser solution to remove the traces of pimples on your skin. Non-ablative lasers works by not performing any damage to your skin’s outer layer, also referred to as epidermis, but rather focuses on your dermis. Resorting to non-abrasive laser may be an expensive and in some cases, a dangerous option for you.

5. Use of Antibiotics

The use of antibiotics to counter the presence of acne has been utilized for decades and this is still a popular recourse for those afflicted with this circumstance. It reduces the existence of bacteria surrounding the hair follicles o your face and at the same time, controls the chemicals coming from your white blood cells that causes irritation.

Again, it is strongly advice that you consult your dermatologist before choosing to perform any acne solution.

Author is the webmaster of <a
