Proactive really does work if used diligently- at least for me! Try using the Bare Escentuals powder foundation as a concealer/foundation. It seemed to help my skin as well. These folks need to start paying me….but they make good products!
I would recommend Acneace!!!!
I used it, and after 1 months, my acne was COMPLETELY gone!
Hope it works for you.
you can get From Google Search Acneace Official site. Good luck.
Try a product with 1% – 2% of salicylic acid. You can get it over the counter… just look at the active ingredients on the back of any acne product. You can also use 5% – 10% benzoyl peroxide. You can use the two in combination also. One product wash might have the salicylic acid and a toner might have the benzoyl peroxide. I would start out at the lower % if you have sensitive skin and since you are just starting a regiment with those ingredients. Increase to a higher % if needed after 4 – 6 weeks.
Look at the back of any package that claims to be an acne fighter for the active ingredients and you will find out what type it is and the solution strength.
You might have to see a dermatologist if you have more serious acne. Treatments include antibiotics, retin -A and even accutane if it is serious enough.
Some common over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide products include:
•Proactiv
•Benzaderm Gel
•Glytone 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel
•MD Formulations Benzoyl Peroxide 10
•various generic or store brand benzoyl peroxide creams
Some common products containing salicylic acid include:
•Oxy products
•Noxzema Anti-Acne Gel
•Noxzema Anti-Acne Pads
•Stridex products
•Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel

Benzoyl peroxide is one of the most frequently used acne treatment medications. Benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in countless over-the-counter products, such as Clearasil and ProActiv. One of the first proven treatments for acne, it has been used for decades and is still one of the most popular and successful treatments for acne.
Benzoyl peroxide can be found over the counter in cleansers, gels, and lotions, as well as in stronger prescription creams. It is generally an inexpensive treatment, and can be found in both name brands and generic products. All benzoyl peroxide products work similarly. Benzoyl peroxide is often the first treatment choice for those suffering from mild to moderate acne.
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid commonly used to treat comedonal or non-inflamed acne. It is a popular ingredient in many over-the-counter products. Salicylic acid is found in lotions and creams, cleansers, medicated treatment pads, solutions or “toners.”
How it Works
Salicylic acid helps correct the abnormal desquamation process that occurs in acne-prone skin. It works as an exfoliant, promoting the sloughing away of dead skin cells.
Salicylic acid is especially helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle. It encourages the shedding of dead skin cells from within the follicle, helping keep the pores clear of cellular debris. In this way, it reduces the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.
Common Directions
Over-the-counter salicylic acid products are found in strengths ranging from .5% to 2%. Typical use consists of a once-daily application. Of course, follow all directions printed on the package.
Depending on your preference, begin by using either salicylic acid pads or a salicylic acid lotion, cream, or gel. Do not use both. Using several salicylic acid products will excessively dry the skin, and will not clear acne any faster. After the skin is sufficiently clear, a salicylic acid wash or scrub can often be used in place of gels or pads to maintain clear skin.
As with most topical treatment medications, salicylic acid must be applied over the entire face or affected body area. Using the product only as a spot treatment on visible breakouts is ineffective. Apply over the entire affected area so the medication can prevent pore blockages and help clear microcomedones (tiny blemishes too small yet to see.)
Continuous use of a salicylic acid product is necessary to obtain and maintain positive results. If you stop using your treatment product, the pores will again clog with excess oil and dead cells, and acne can return.
As you’ve experienced YOU’VE TRIED EVERYTHING AND THEY NEVER WORKS.
Sometimes just the oil on your face from make up and lotions, even from your hair can travel to your face causing acne to come out. Others, from stress, hormones & diet or foods. When you’re using moisturizer, use very little and get one for your face.
ProActiv contains a known carcinogen, at a percentage known to promote skin cancer. Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you’re actually spreading it around. The beauty industry is a billion dollar business, they know acne is everyone’s problem, but instead of saying soap is drying for you, they have to invent an acne product that can worsen the skin as MANY TEENAGERS have experienced during hormonal change, but as you get older those are completely a waste of time & money!
The FDA has called for more safety studies on benzoyl peroxide because of concern about what happens when skin treated with it is exposed to the sun. Until research can establish or disprove a possible skin cancer link to the use of benzoyl peroxide products, the agency plans to require an extra warning and directions on the labeling: “When using this product, avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use sunscreen.” and “If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow [product name] to dry, then follow directions in the sunscreen labeling. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a doctor.” “Benzoyl peroxide has been shown to be a tumor promoter and progression agent in a number of animal studies. The clinical significance of this is unknown.” “Benzoyl peroxide in acetone at doses of 5 and 10 mg administered twice per week induced skin tumors in transgenic Tg.AC mice in a study using 20 weeks of topical treatment.”
“Inorganic peroxide (benzoyl peroxide) (H(2)O(2))-mediated malignant transformation was also enhanced effectively by iron.” “Therefore, in addition to its known ability to promote papilloma and carcinoma formation in the back skin of mice, benzoyl peroxide is also able to promote the formation of melanotic tumors in the dermis of hamsters.” “CONCLUSION: This study indicated that benzoyl peroxide could increase carcinogenesis of golden hamster tongue which induced by DMBA. Consideration of promoting agent should be taken in carcinogenesis as well as carcinogen.”
Smoking has been shown to make acne worse since it diminishes the delivery of oxygen to the skin and robs it of nutrients, thereby inhibiting cars from healing. Not enough reason to quit? Smoke depletes moisture, making skin lose its luster and look wrinkly.
The less products you use, the better for your skin. Some skin and hair care products can cause acne. To help prevent and control acne flare-ups, take good care of your skin. For example, use a mild soap or cleanser to gently wash your face twice a day. Choose “non-comedogenic” make-up and hair care products. This means that they don’t close up the pores. I use a bath wash like Suave, Irish Spring, Dove (for ex.) Bath & Body wash when I take a shower, with a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday.
The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free. I also don’t use liquid on my face for anything, and very little moisturizer, not even a dime size. Since my face is not dry. Good skin also comes from your good genes. Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables 3-5 servings per day. And programmed your mind to do this day after day, for the rest of your life.
PANOXYL!!!!
it haves benzoyl peroxide which works really good. if your like me i have tried everything and nothing works!!! the 10% is really strong and it made my face extremely dry. i use the 2.5% but sometimes i use the 5%. i guess it depends on how sensitive your skin is and how oily it is. so start off with 2.5% and then if you need something more powerful try 5%. i highly doubt you will need to 10% because its so strong. sometimes walmart has it, but its hard to find so the link below is where you can find it. its really cheap and last a long time!!! you should definitely try it out!!! i also use neutrogena on the spot because it also has benzoyl peroxide and i put it on my face before i go to bed. i think both the products really work good together.

hey, so this comment is coming at you kinda late in the game, but I wanted to tell you that all the acids and peroxides won’t help. most of the “natural” soaps and oils won’t completely banish your acne either. best skin ever is a product made by living libations. cheap considering it’s a wash, toner, and moisturizer all in one. super quick and easy. $30. definitely try it as soon as you can! I’ve been struggling with acne for 15 years and haven’t found anything this wonderful and natural. I wish someone had put a bottle of this in my hands years ago. you won’t regret it
