What’s the best procedure for fixing acne scarring?
Question by danii: What’s the best procedure for fixing acne scarring?
I had cystic acne for a year and now I have permanent “Ice pick” scars on my face. What would smooth them out the best? I’m willing to spend a pretty penny to save my pretty face! Please help! (Especially if you’ve gone though procedures yourself and know what’s best)

I did PDT treatment. It’s called, photodynamic treatment. What the doctors do is they put you under this uva/uvb ray light with chemicals on your face and leave you there for about 4-5 minutes. I did it for 4-5 treatments. It worked on my perfectly but only lasted for a week or so, but I also got frustrated with it and didn’t finish it out. So, that could have been the problem. You’re supposed to do it every 2 weeks for 4-5 treatments. Believe me, it is very painful. I had to sleep with a fan on my face for a week because it burned like hell!! It makes your skin really sensitive and it costs around $ 350. I don’t think insurance covers it. Ask about that. If not, you can try microdermabrasion. They sell kits at wal-mart, target or any drugstore. I’ve never tried that but want to. I’ve read articles about it and it seems like it shouldn’t hurt. Good Luck!
