What is the best thing for Acne scarring and blemish control?
Question by dazed and confused: What is the best thing for Acne scarring and blemish control?
What is the best thing to get rid of acne? I mostly just have scarring now. I want something that will fade the scars and prevent future breakouts. does pro-active really work? Does it help acne scarring? I tried it a while back and it didn’t seem too, but I don’t think I used it for long enough. How about mederma? I see it in the drug store but I don’t know if it really works. Please help!
I don’t want to spend too much money.
I’m white if that helps with what my skin needs. Thanks!

Neutrogena Advances Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel, Lemon juice, Mederma, and Bio Oil are all good solutions for acne scarring. Things you could ask your dermatologist about are Tretinoin (Retin A) and Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid) will help too. One product with Alpha Hydroxy Acid that I know of is Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel and Milk. You can put milk on a cotton ball and apply to your face and then rinse after it absorbs.

Wash your face with freshly squeezed lemon juice. It will be really sore, but the citrus will dry up the acne..
Try raw pumpkin seeds, At the bulk food store. Eat on a daily basis a bout an oz. or crumble and mix in a drink if you do not like the taste. let me know.
Proactive does work really well, but then your skin becomes dependent on it, so as soon as you stop using it, your skin is like it never cleared up. There’s this stuff I’ve been using that works great call clean and clear face warming scrub. You can get it at your local grocery store or at a walgreens near you. And then they have this bomb soap called purpose that I use after the scrub. This may sound weird but after my face is clean, at night, I rub medicated gold bond powder to dry up the pimples. And in the morning I wash my face again and put cocoa butter on the blemishes and I mix it with a little sunblock. You know the proactive commercial, with the black guy and the nestle crunch bumps?? Well thats how my— lemmie stop lying… It wasnt THAT bad… but it was close enough…. well thats how my skin used to be. Now every body wanna be me…. oh yeah u gotta use the clean and clear bump cream day and night too. I like the gell better but the cream works well too. And it dont cost much. the scrub is like $ 4 or less. The cocoa butter sticks be like 99cents at most stores I’ve been to. The gold bond powder is like $ 4 and some change and the purpose soap is like $ 2 dollars and change. And then the bump cream be like $ 3 or less. You dont have to use them all together but this is what works for me. Also it would really be helpful if I knew your race because different races have different skin types. LIke Im black and I need moisture in my skin. Whereas white folk need oil absorbers….
